7 questions with Kayla Kimble, physician assistant

ARCHBOLD, Ohio - July 27, 2026 - Kayla Kimble, PA-C, has joined Parkview Physicians Group (PPG) - Family Medicine in Archbold and is welcoming patients at the office, 121 Westfield Drive. She collaborates with Dr. Rick Yoder in providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare for individuals and families.

Kimble graduated from the University of Toledo, Ohio, with a bachelor's degree in biology. She went on to earn a master's degree in physician assistant (PA) studies from Kettering College, Kettering, Ohio, completing clinical rotations in a variety of disciplines from emergency medicine to pediatrics to orthopedics at hospitals and physician offices in the greater Dayton area and Lima, Ohio.

Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, she is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants (OAPA).

Prior to coming to Parkview, Kimble served patients with a network of family practice and urgent care offices in southern Michigan and provided primary care and employee wellness services for a medium-sized company in Fayette, Ohio.

As a PA, she assesses patients to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions. Managing chronic conditions; prescribing medications and therapy options; performing well-child, women's health, occupational health and other physical exams; performing in-office procedures; administering vaccinations and providing patient education are all part of her practice.

Q: Where did you grow up?
A: Delphos, Ohio.

Q: Was there an inspiration for you to become a physician assistant (PA)?
A: Yes. My mom is an RN, and growing up watching her, I always knew I wanted to work in the medical field. I just wasn't sure how I would. Then, in my early 20s, I was struggling with my health, and I met a PA who was able to help me. She changed my life, and I decided I wanted to become a PA to help other people in that same way.

Q: What motivates or energizes you in your work?
A: What energizes me is developing a trusting relationship with patients and finding out what their goals and motivations are for their health.

Q: How would you describe your approach to patient care?
A: My approach is to meet people where they are. Every person starts somewhere and deserves to have someone on their team working with them to help make decisions about their health.

Q: Do you have any areas of special interest within family medicine?
A: I enjoy the variety that family medicine brings in being able to see patients who are 1 week old to 100-plus years old and every age in between. It is always a treat to see newborn babies, though.

Q: What else would you like people to know about you as a healthcare professional?
A: I am the mom of a 2-year-old and a 4-month-old, and I know how busy life can get. I am not here to judge but to help people navigate their healthcare and prevent illness when possible.

Q: What activities do you enjoy when you're away from the office?
A: I have two dogs and two young kids. We enjoy playing outside and going to the lake as much as we can. I also enjoy gardening, keeping chickens and watching movies.
