Secretary-General of ASEAN receives courtesy call from the incoming AIPA Secretary General
Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today warmly welcomed H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, incoming ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Secretary General, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta. Dr. Kao congratulated Dr. Widhya on his appointment and looked forward to deepening the ASEAN-AIPA collaboration, particularly in supporting the implementation of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, as well as in advancing inclusive and people-centred regional cooperation. H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya will start his term as AIPA Secretary General, in January 2026, for a period of 3 years.
