TRAFFIC ALERT - Kent County - Closure of Rt 9(Haypoint Landing Rd) between Old Flemings Landing Rd and Shorts Landing Rd
Closure of Route 9 (Haypoint Landing Road) between Old Flemings Landing Road and Shorts Landing Road
Smyrna - ; The Delaware Department of Transportation announces the closure of Route 9 (Haypoint Landing Road) between Old Flemings Landing Road and Shorts Landing Road starting on Monday, October 27th through November 16th (weather permitting) to address frequently flooded roadway segments along Rt. 9. The roadway will be raised using pervious asphalt pavement along with guardrails.
Detour - Motorists wanting to travel south on SR 9 will turn right onto West Market Street, bear left on Pole Bridge Road, turn left on U.S. 13, then turn left on Bayview Road, returning to SR 9.
Motorists wanting to travel north on SR 9 will turn left onto Bayview Road, turn right on U.S. 13, then turn right on Pole Bridge Road, returning to SR 9.
