Buckeye Breaks Ground on New Victory Fire Station 709

Buckeye is marking another milestone with the groundbreaking of its eighth fire station serving the Verrado and Victory areas of the community.

The groundbreaking represents more than the start of construction. It marks a community investment in the future of Buckeye and in the first responders who serve the community every day.

In 2024, Buckeye voters approved the city's General Obligation Bond to invest in public safety facilities and infrastructure. The community recognized the importance of planning ahead and providing our first responders with the facilities and resources they need to serve families living in Verrado, Victory and surrounding neighborhoods.

The project represents an estimated $17.6 million investment in public safety infrastructure. This two-story firehouse will be located on the northwest corner of Indian School and Acacia spanning 15,000 square feet. The station will help improve emergency response coverage and ensure our Fire Medical Rescue Department can continue providing the highest level of service to one of Buckeye's growing areas.
