Iran – Situation ofCécile Kohler and Jacques Paris (4 November 2025)

Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris were transferred to the French Residence in Tehran today, Tuesday 4 November 2025. They are now safe. This puts an end to their ordeal of more than three years. It is the result of active, coordinated efforts by the families and supporters of our two compatriots, to whose courage we once again pay tribute, and by all the State services involved.

We welcome this first gesture by the Iranian authorities.

The staff of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, first and foremost our embassy in Tehran and the Crisis and Support Centre, will continue to work tirelessly for their return to France so that they can be reunited with their loved ones as soon as possible.
