NIFA Awards $7.5M to Support Plant Production Research
USDA's National Institute of Food and Agriculture has awarded $7.5 million in funding to support 14 projects to advance research to improve plant production, which is critical to the longevity and competitiveness of U.S. agriculture. The NIFA Physiology of Agricultural Plants Program supports improvements to production systems that provide a better understanding of factors affecting agricultural plants and their nutritional quality, efficiency of water and nutrient use and tolerance to abiotic stresses. This includes research that addresses these needs at the molecular, cellular, biochemical and whole-organism levels.
