Giving Thanks and Giving Back in Goodyear

It's that time of year when gratitude is in the air and Goodyear is full of reasons to be thankful! From the incredible volunteers who give their time to city teams who work around the clock to keep our community running smoothly, the latest issue of InFocus is all about celebrating the people who make Goodyear such a special place to live.

• Feeling Safe and Supported: Did you know that 95% of Goodyear residents say they feel safe in their neighborhood? That's something to be proud of! It's a direct reflection of our first responders, who show up every day with dedication and care. Learn more about how they're keeping Goodyear safe on pages 4-5 of InFocus.
• Behind the Scenes Heroes: Clean water, safe streets, beautiful parks - none of that happens by accident. Our behind-the-scenes teams are always at work, day and night, to make sure Goodyear looks and runs its best.
• Honoring Our Veterans: Goodyear is proud to have veterans as residents and employees! The city employs 119 full-time veterans and 22 part-time veterans.
• Volunteers with Big Hearts: Goodyear's community spirit shines bright. From early morning cleanups to sharing ideas at city workshops, residents are always finding ways to give back. Over the past year, city volunteers have donated nearly 20,000 hours of their time, which is more than $646,000 in value.
