Week's events: Emily Ennis, heart health, library stories, marimba
University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here's what's happening during the week of July 6-12:

On Monday, July 6, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series will honor Emily Ennis, Fairbanks Resource Agency executive director. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.

On Tuesday, July 7, the Healthy Living lecture series will host Romel Wrenn, cardiologist, discussing "The Heart of Health: What Really Matters for a Longer, Stronger Life." The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.

On Wednesday, July 8, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Genova Brookes Boyd, assistant professor of library science, and Leslie McCartney, curator of oral history, presenting "Stories in the Stacks: How Our Collections Tell a Story." The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.

On Thursday, July 9, the Music in the Garden concert series will present Serevende Marimba at 6 p.m. and Sourdough Rizers at 7:30 p.m. at UAF's Georgeson Botanical Garden.
All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the UAF Troth Yeddha' Campus is free after 5 p.m.
