PASADENA, Calif. - Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) is aware of individuals posing as private water company representatives who are knocking on doors and claiming to have a permit to test water inside homes. No such permit exists. These individuals are not representatives of the City of Pasadena or PWP. Residents are advised to exercise caution when anyone asks for access to your home.
PWP employees rarely need to enter a private residence and only do so through a prearranged appointment. Legitimate City employees wear uniforms featuring the City seal, carry an official City identification badge, and typically drive a clearly marked City vehicle.
