San Salvador, September 30 - To promote business development and innovation in the western part of the country, within the framework of the DINAMICA II Initiative, a Non-Reimbursable Technical Assistance agreement was formalized with the University of Sonsonate (USO). This agreement will enable the implementation of the project "Strengthening the technical capacities of the USO in the management of support for entrepreneurship in its different stages of development in the western region of El Salvador."
Thanks to the support of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), the German government through KfW, and the European Union, the Business Development Center at the University of Sonsonate (CDE-USO) will be strengthened technically and operationally to provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium-sized businesses in different stages of development: creation, formalization, and consolidation of their business ideas.
The technical assistance, valued at US$57,699.12, will enhance the capacities of 15 CDE-USO professionals, benefiting 250 enterprises and MSMEs by providing them with more specialized and effective support.
The project will generate key products to transform business support, such as a modern digital platform to manage, monitor, and connect entrepreneurs, along with methodological manuals that will serve as practical guides to strengthen business support and assistance processes. With these resources, the University of Sonsonate will promote training and productive development in the western region, creating opportunities that favor competitiveness and local economic growth.
Through this alliance, the DINAMICA II Initiative contributes to economic development, business creation and formalization, strengthening the business ecosystem for new, young, and innovative MSMEs, as well as promoting adequate access to financial services.
