Sports Diplomacy: Memorandum Between the Italian and Saudi Golf Federations Signed at the Foreign Ministry

The ceremony for signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the Italian Golf Federation and the Saudi Golf Federation took place at the Foreign Ministry last Thursday.

The agreement is part of the sports diplomacy initiative launched by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, as a tool to strengthen bilateral relations and promote dialogue, international cooperation, and growth between Italy and Saudi Arabia.

The ceremony - in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Riccardo Guariglia - was attended by the President of the Italian Golf Federation, Cristiano Cerchiai, and the Executive Manager of the Saudi Golf Federation, Noah Alireza, along with delegations from the two Federations and institutional representatives.

The Memorandum aims to promote structured cooperation in the golf sector through joint programmes of technical training, talent development, athlete preparation, competition organization, skills exchange, environmental sustainability, inclusion of women and persons with disabilities, and know-how transfer initiatives.
