Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Generali Asset Management on the financing of H.I.G. Capital's acquisition of a majority stake in L4A, an Italian company specialising in the maintenance, refurbishment and upgrading of strategic infrastructure.
The investment by H.I.G. Capital, a global alternative investment firm with approximately US$75 billion of capital under management, was completed in partnership with L4A's existing shareholders and Co-CEOs, Roberto Paganessi and Andrea Diani, who will continue to lead the business.
The investment is intended to support L4A's growth through organic initiatives and acquisitions of complementary businesses, including expansion into adjacent infrastructure sectors and new geographies.
The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by Milan-based partner Marina Balzano who was supported by counsel Giulio Asquini, senior associate Filippo Nola and international trainee Elisa Zaccaria.
Marina Balzano commented:
"We are pleased to have advised Generali Asset Management on the financing of this transaction which demonstrates the continued role of private capital in supporting the growth and development of infrastructure-focused businesses in Italy."
