Traffic delays expected this weekend around Leila-McPhillips Triangle

Released: August 27, 2026 at 4:06 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB - Movements around and through the Leila-McPhillips intersection will be limited this weekend to accommodate paving operations.

From 6 a.m. Saturday (August 29) to 6 p.m. Sunday (August 30):

  • There will be no east-west travel through the intersection on Leila
    • Westbound vehicles must turn right onto northbound McPhillips
    • Eastbound traffic will close at Watson Street
      • Access to businesses between Watson and McPhillips will be maintained
  • There will be no left turn from northbound McPhillips onto Leila
  • Southbound McPhillips will be reduced to one through lane
    • There will be no turns in either direction from southbound McPhillips onto Leila

Drivers should plan ahead, use alternate routes, and anticipate delays in the area.
