TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - Salem Church Road Upcoming Closures
Salem Church Road Upcoming Closures
New Castle - The Delaware Department of Transportation announces lane and road closures at the US 40/Glasgow Drive/Salem Church Road intersection for roadway reconstruction work. Beginning Friday July 10 to Sunday July 12, the US 40 westbound right turn onto Glasgow Drive will be closed, and Glasgow Drive will be fully closed at US 40 for full-depth roadway construction, including pedestrian islands.
Additionally, beginning Monday July 20 to Thursday July 30, northbound Salem Church Road will be closed approximately 300 feet from the US 40 intersection as part of Phase 1A construction.
Detour Routes:
For the July 10 - ;12 closure, motorists traveling to Glasgow Drive will be detoured via Cornell Drive and Salem Church Road.
For the July 20 - ;30 closure, motorists traveling northbound on Salem Church Road will be detoured via Glasgow Drive, Cornell Drive, and Salem Church Road.
Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays while traveling through the area.
