Governor Josh Shapiro will join Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger and Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry Secretary Nancy A. Walker to announce a $3.5 million investment to strengthen and expand Pennsylvania's skilled trades industry.
Thanks to funding secured by Governor Shapiro in the 2025-26 budget, Manufacturing Training to Careers (MTTC) grants will allow schools and organizations like Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania, Inc. to improve students' awareness of opportunities in the trade industry and equip them with the necessary skills to join Pennsylvania's workforce.
