Omaha Man Sentenced to 50 Years for Production and Possession of Child Pornography

United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods announced that Justin A. Dueling, 42, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced on November 4, 2026, in federal court in Omaha, for production of child pornography and possession of child pornography. Chief United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher sentenced Dueling to a total of 600 months' imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system. After Dueling's release from prison, he will begin a 15-year term of supervised release.

On February 2, 2025, the Nebraska State Patrol began investigating after the chat application Kik reported that a user in Nebraska had uploaded apparent child pornography on its platform. In November 2025, the State Patrol executed a search warrant at Dueling's Omaha residence and seized several electronic devices. Investigators also contacted Dueling who admitted to sending and receiving mass quantities of child pornography online.

Investigators examined Dueling's electronic devices and located several thousand images and videos of child sexual abuse material. Investigators were able to identify a child depicted in some of the videos and images. Investigators determined that Dueling had produced those videos and images, which depicted Dueling engaged in sexually explicit conduct with a sleeping child. Dueling's electronic devices also contained chats in which Dueling exchanged sexual abuse material and expressed his interest in engaging in sexually explicit conduct with children, including claiming to have "played with" children while they were asleep after taking sleeping pills.

After Dueling's arrest, he was found to be in possession of a cell phone and two thumb drives. Investigators executed a search warrant to examine those devices and located approximately 1,650 more images of child sexual abuse material, including images of the same identified child.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by United States Attorney's Offices and the Criminal Division's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
