Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) will offer its free youth recreation program, Summer Fun Days, at 21 parks throughout Long Beach during the upcoming summer school break. Registration begins June 1 at 9 a.m. at lbcity.info/summerfundays.

Summer Fun Days engages children ages 5 to 12 in fun activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts and special events. This is a free drop-in program where registered participants may come and go as they please. The program will run weekdays, June 15 through Aug. 21, from noon to 5 p.m. at participating parks.

Pre-registration is required. Parents and caregivers should note the new registration process for this season, which will take place online at LB RecConnect, instead of in-person at participating parks. Residents should click "Activities" and search "Summer Fun" to register. People in need of registration assistance may contact their local park for support. Those with limited access to a computer or smart phone may also visit a public computer lab available at any open Long Beach Public Library location to register.

More information, including the complete list of all participating locations, is available at lbcity.info/summerfundays.
