Wiley Launches Wiley Analytical Lab, Giving Researchers Access to Trusted Spectral Data & Analytical Tools in Modern Online Environment

New browser-based platform helps researchers search millions of trusted reference spectra, identify unknown compounds, and manage, validate, publish, and share analytical datasets

HOBOKEN, N.J. - Wiley (NYSE: WLY), a global leader in authoritative content and research intelligence, today launched Wiley Analytical Lab, a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that gives researchers access to its trusted spectral data, compound identification tools, and analytical data management capabilities through one modern online environment.

Scientific research increasingly depends on both trusted reference data and the ability to manage and share the data generated in the lab. Yet these activities often take place across separate systems, locally installed software, and disconnected repositories. Wiley Analytical Lab addresses that problem by making critical analytical capabilities easier to access across institutions and research teams, while supporting the path from spectral search and identification through data management and publication.

Wiley Analytical Lab gives researchers a one-stop shop where they can easily access the following trusted Wiley tools to perform multiple tasks:

  • SpectraBase - Search millions of trusted reference spectra
  • KnowItAll AnyWare - Upload experimental spectra and identify unknown compounds
  • Wiley Data Hub - Manage, validate, publish, and share analytical datasets

The platform is built on Wiley's expertise in spectral data and scientific publishing, helping researchers work more efficiently and with greater confidence.

The launch advances Wiley's strategy to transform authoritative scientific knowledge and data into scalable, workflow-relevant digital solutions. By delivering these capabilities through a SaaS platform, Wiley can broaden access today while creating a foundation for continued product expansion and future innovation across the research workflow.

"Wiley Analytical Lab represents an important step in how we turn trusted scientific data into intelligence researchers can use directly in their work," said Armughan Rafat, Wiley senior vice president and chief AI and data analytics officer. "Researchers need more than just access to information; they need modern, connected tools that help them move from an unknown sample to a confident answer and from experimental data to published, reusable science. By combining Wiley's trusted spectral content, analytical capabilities, and publishing expertise in a scalable SaaS environment, we are helping researchers work faster while strengthening the foundation for future data- and AI-driven innovation."

Unlike fragmented or instrument-specific solutions, Wiley Analytical Lab provides a vendor-neutral online environment that supports researchers working across instruments, formats, locations, and teams. The browser-based SaaS platform complements Wiley's recently launched spectroscopy API portfolio and builds on capabilities available in its expert desktop KnowItAll software.

Wiley Analytical Lab will initially be available through KnowItAll Campus-Wide Solutions for universities and KnowItAll Complete Multi-User Licensing for corporate and government organizations.
