Sumter County Veterans Brick Memorial Ceremony will be held November 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM

Sumter County invites the community to attend the Veterans Memorial Brick Ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, November 7, in front of the Historic Courthouse, located at 215 E. McCollum Ave., Bushnell.

Parking will be available in the parking garage, and the event will take place on the south side of the courthouse lawn. The ceremony and parking are free and open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to participate in this special community event. The ceremony will honor all U.S. veterans and recognize those who purchased memorial bricks this year.

The Sumter County Veterans Memorial Brick Program provides a meaningful way for individuals to honor or remember U.S. veterans, past and present. Each purchased brick is engraved with the veteran's name and service details and placed at Veterans Memorial Park, located at the Sumter County Courthouse. "The Veterans Service Office is proud to offer individuals the opportunity to purchase and dedicate a military brick as a means to honor or remember our service men and women," said Kristen Montejo, Veterans Service manager.

You can purchase a memorial brick anytime through our website. Bricks purchased now will be engraved and placed in time for next year's Veterans Day ceremony.
