Washington, DC, Aug. 19, 2025 - Amid this year's sweeping federal tax policy changes and stepped-up, state-level activity, the 2025 National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Tax, Regulatory & Risk Management Conference will gather leading experts with guidance about some of the most pressing issues for business aviation.
The conference, hosted at the Encore Las Vegas Oct. 12-13, takes place prior to the opening of the 2025 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).
Attendees will gain essential insights into issues that have not previously impacted business aviation, with tariffs on aircraft and components high on the agenda, as well as their potential impact on cross-border transactions and maintenance operations.
"With so many moving pieces in the tax policy and regulatory landscape, this year's Tax, Regulatory & Risk Management Conference is more essential than ever," said NBAA General Counsel and Corporate Secretary Benjamin Schwalen.
"We're seeing a return to 100% immediate expensing, aggressive state-level audits and tariffs being assessed on aircraft transactions for the first time in decades," he added. "These developments demand informed, strategic responses, and this year's attendees will walk away from this conference equipped with the knowledge and tools to navigate this new environment."
Sessions will explore the repercussions of this environment on traditional tax policy, regulatory and risk management concerns, including ownership structures, non-business use and federal excise tax compliance. Panelists also will examine the ramifications of IRS workforce reductions on ongoing audits and new opportunities to withhold personally identifiable information from public display on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) websites.
Building on the success of last year's record attendance, the 2025 event will also offer business aviation professionals an unmatched opportunity to network with peers and industry leaders.
"If you're advising clients, managing operations, planning aircraft acquisitions or seeking insights on the aircraft insurance market, this is the event for you," Schwalen said.
