The Great New York State Fair Welcomes Country Favorite Scotty McCreery

There is no denying fairgoers will want "Five More Minutes" with country music sensation Scotty McCreery as he performs at The Great New York State Fair's Suburban Park stage on Tuesday, September 1, at 8 p.m.

McCreery has been a household name for nearly half his life, ever since making history in 2011 as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album, the Platinum-certified Clear as Day, at #1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. He has sold more than four million albums and achieved seven #1 hits, including "Cab in a Solo," "Damn Strait," "This is It," and well-known musical collaborations, like the smash hit "Bottle Rockets" featuring Hootie & The Blowfish. His new retrospective album 15 will come out on July 17. The project celebrates McCreery's first 15 years as a recording artist and contains nine of his hits as well as four new tracks, including his rendition of "Your Man" featuring Josh Turner.

In addition to numerous awards over the last decade and a half, his song "Five More Minutes" inspired two popular holiday movies which aired on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Network. McCreery was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in 2023. In 2024, he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry by Josh Turner and Randy Travis, after being invited by Garth Brooks.

Fair Director Julie LaFave said, "Scotty McCreery is a bona fide star, and we're excited to welcome him to Suburban Park for what is sure to be an incredible performance. Fairgoers of all ages are going to enjoy this show!"

The Fair starts Wednesday, August 26, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 7. All concerts are included in the price of admission, which will go on sale later this summer. The Great New York State Fair is the most affordable state fair in the country. Tickets are $8 for adults while admission is free for children under 12 and senior citizens aged 65 and older.

In total, The Fair's 2026 Chevrolet Music Series will feature 41 national recording acts. There will be a daily 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1), and an 8 p.m. concert each evening at Suburban Park (located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway).
