Play with Deer and Adopt Peach Trees: Explore These Four Flower-Viewing Routes in Fengtai

Four travel routes were unveiled in Fengtai District on March 30, where visitors can enjoy floral spectacles, say hi to deer at Nanyuan Forest and Wetland Park, and even adopt Chinese wild peach trees at the Beijing Garden Expo Park.

Featuring 28 flower-viewing areas covering over 500,000 square meters, the four routes feature over 40 varieties of ornamental flowers.

Urban Flower-Viewing Route

The route starts from Wanfangting Park, passes through the Fengtai Garden and Dawayao Park, and ends at Beigong National Forest Park. Along the route, you can find flowers of weeping forsythia, magnolia, Chinese wild peach, cherry, crabapple, and chokecherry ("Canada Red"), and over 130 varieties of peonies.

Fragrant Flower Sea Route

Following this route, set from Nanyuan Forest and Wetland Park, go through Garden of World's Flowers, Huaxiang Park and Purple Valley Eden, and end at Guai Village, where an expanse of rapeseed flowers awaits you.

Cultural Flower-Viewing Route

Starting from Lianhuachi Park, one of the major attractions in Beijing for viewing peonies (including Chinese peonies), this route heads south to Huaixin Park and the Beijing World Park.

Yongding River Shore Flower-Viewing Route

Departing from Xiaoyue Park, you will pass through Lvdi Park, and arrive at Beitiantang Park as the final destination.

Boat tour services on Shanglin Lake at Nanyuan Forest and Wetland Park are also available now, allowing you to admire the blooming flowers and trees along the shore while boating on the lake. Nanyuan Book Market, Nanyuan Small Train, and several seasonal markets will also be launched. The park's camping area will continue its free admission policy for all visitors. Additionally, the wildlife interaction project "Deer Camp" will officially start in early May, allowing you to have closer interactions with deer without heading to the suburbs.

The Beijing Garden Expo Park, one of the top tourist attractions in spring, has now launched a program for planting and adopting peach trees this year. Soon, 20 hectares of Chinese wild peach blossoms in the Peach Blossom Valley will be blooming across the hillsides. The valley features multiple special photo spots, such as the 9th floor of Yongding Tower, which will be open for a limited time during the two weekends and the Qingming Festival holiday from March 21 to April 6. Visitors can ascend the tower to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire valley.

Spanning over 13 hectares, the largest rapeseed flower field in Beijing's suburbs, which is located in Guai Village of Wangzuo Town, is also ready to welcome visitors. Also, the first Guai Village Flower Sea Cultural Festival will run from April 18 to May 5.
