Call for project promoters to submit new and updated project information for Hydrogen Infrastructure Map update

Today, six industry associations representing gas distribution, transmission, import terminals, and storage have launched a call to interested stakeholders to submit new project information for inclusion in the upcoming update of their joint Hydrogen Infrastructure Map.

This follows the launch of the interactive map on 13 December 2022, developed by CEDEC, ENTSOG, Eurogas, GD4S, GEODE, and GIE, in cooperation with the European Hydrogen Backbone Initiative. The interactive map showcases hydrogen projects planned for 2030, 2040 and 2050, and was created to comply with the European Commission's request expressed during the May 2022 36^th European Gas Regulatory Forum to visualise "all hydrogen infrastructure projects collected under different existing processes in a form of a map."

This map was developed through a comprehensive, bottom-up data collection process, covering key infrastructure projects across the hydrogen value chain. This includes both infrastructure projects for demand and production, and projects developed in consortia by third-party promoters. Currently, the map features around 600 hydrogen projects.

Promoters of new projects are invited to submit their project details through the Hydrogen Project Information online form available on the Hydrogen Infrastructure map website. Submissions can be made until 17 October 2025. For existing projects that are already mapped, promoters can update their information by contacting [email protected]
