HPT successfully organized a workshop on "Practical Applications in Preventing Business Data Loss"

On December 2, 2022, at the Microsoft office, HPT continued its series of workshops, Modern Workplace Camps by HPT - Security Camps, with the third theme "Practical Applications in Preventing Business Data Loss".

Alongside the management of smart devices, preventing data loss is also one of the top concerns in the modern workplace environment widely adopted by businesses. However, how can businesses ensure the safety of their data and implement solutions tailored to their specific situations?

Participating in the workshop, Microsoft expert Mr. Vincent Huynh introduced Microsoft Purview as a comprehensive solution for controlling, managing, and protecting data according to the security policies of organizations across multiple devices and user working environments.

Alongside the selection of an appropriate solution, the assessment and classification of data are crucial steps for businesses to manage their data efficiently. Therefore, the HPT expert provided recommendations for businesses to have the optimal approach:

• Information asset management through the following steps: Identification, Assignment of responsibility, Appropriate protection, Secure destruction.

• Data classification process consisting of steps: Survey, Information exchange, User guidance, Data analysis.

• Illustration of data classification from a risk management perspective, methods for formulating data control policies.
