On September 15, under the clear and humid skies of the Texas Gulf Coast, Erthos had the distinct privilege of welcoming more than 140 partners, industry leaders, and local community members for an exclusive look at our 93 MWdc Industrial Bravo Project. As the largest Earth Mount Solar PV installation ever constructed, the showcase marked a major milestone for Erthos and a defining moment for the future of utility-scale solar architecture.
The turnout reflected a broad coalition across the clean energy and infrastructure ecosystem. Executives from EPC firms, project finance institutions, legal teams, engineering consultancies, alternative fuel developers, equipment vendors, media outlets, and local community leadership all gathered in the site in Matagorda County to evaluate firsthand how ground-mounted solar operates at a massive commercial scale.
The morning kicked off with a series of keynotes detailing the company history, operational strategy, and the technical mechanics behind Earth Mount Solar. CEO Jim Tyler introduced the Erthos execution team and extended direct recognition to our core project partners-B-Core, TE, Imperial Star, and CDI-before explaining how eliminating traditional tracker infrastructure fundamentally reshapes project economics. By removing costly steel structures, project developers can redirect capital toward higher wages for local installation crews. In addition, consolidating 93 MWdc onto a tight 125-acre footprint preserves surrounding farmland while keeping the entire facility low-profile and virtually invisible from nearby roads, removing the visual clutter often associated with conventional wind turbines or elevated tracker rows.
Ion Yadigaroglu, Partner at Capricorn Investment Group and Erthos Board Member, contextualized the project within broader global market dynamics. Highlighting clean energy as one of the world's fastest-growing sectors alongside AI data centers, Yadigaroglu emphasized why high-density Earth Mount technology is essential to overcoming the land constraints, supply chain bottlenecks, and rising steel costs facing traditional solar developers today.
Hardware durability in coastal environments remained a central theme of the day. Thomas Hudgins of module manufacturing partner Imperial Star detailed the engineering behind our Earth Mount Certified modules. Custom-built for severe Gulf Coast weather, the solar modules feature 4mm front glass, 2mm back glass, and composite FRP frames. Designed to withstand hurricane-force winds exceeding 194 mph and hail impacts up to 5 inches in diameter, these rugged modules provide structural resilience without relying on complex mechanical stow systems.
Later, guests were led on guided walking tours of the site by the Erthos team. Attendees inspected 15 MWdc of completed arrays comprising 28,000 installed modules, examined 14 centralized Power Conversion System units handling DC-to-AC power conversion, and walked the project substation, which feeds clean electricity directly to the nearby LyondellBasell facility.
The walkthrough clearly demonstrated the dramatic land and material savings achieved by placing modules directly on the terrain. Industrial Bravo requires just 125 acres of project land, compared to the more than 600 acres typically needed for a standard tracker system of equal capacity. The design eliminates 16 tons of steel and 1.5 miles of cabling per megawatt while reducing civil work to light site smoothing that follows the natural contours of the earth. To handle severe weather events, the site utilizes integrated French drain networks engineered to rapidly channel away excess stormwater during heavy rain events.
