Encompass 2050 Public Comment Period Open

As a member community, the below information is being shared by the City of Norman on behalf of the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG).

Encompass 2050 is the proposed long-range Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) for Central Oklahoma. The plan provides a guide for investing more than $30 billion in the region's multimodal transportation system between 2020 and 2050.

The plan was developed over the past five years in coordination with member communities, the Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority (COTPA), Norman Transit, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and numerous stakeholders.

The Draft Plan is available on speakupcentralok.org and encompass2050.com.

Please submit your written comments by Monday, November 16, 2026.

The ACOG MPO Policy Committee will consider approval of Encompass 2050 at its November 19, 2026, meeting. Written comments received during the public review process will be summarized and addressed prior to the November ACOG MPO Policy Committee meeting.
