DLA recognizes fiscal 2026 second quarter award winners

Defense Logistics Agency Director Army Lt. Gen. Mark Simerly recently announced the recipients of the DLA Employee of the Quarter Awards and DLA Director's Strategic Goals Awards for the second quarter of fiscal 2026.

DLA Employee of the Quarter Award winners:

• Ronald Thigpen, DLA Distribution - Category A
• Brian Hill, DLA Energy - Category B
• Ralph Resch, DLA Energy - Category C
• Navy Cmdr. David Hunt, DLA Logistics Operations - Field Grade Officer
• Air Force Capt. Dominick Nigra, DLA Energy - Company Grade Officer
• Navy Chief Petty Officer Gregory Shedlock, DLA Logistics Operations - Senior Non-commissioned Officer
• Army Staff Sgt. Kyle Holmes, DLA Troop Support - Junior Non-commissioned Officer

"This award is intended to recognize individuals for meritorious actions such as superior performance, innovative improvement, humanitarian service, teamwork, savings to the government, and acts of service that reflect positively on DLA," Simerly said in the announcement memo. "They are the best of the best."

DLA Director's Strategic Goals Award winners:

• Imes Chiu, DLA Information Operations - Posture: Strengthen Agency Global Resilience
• Agnes Eugenio, DLA Energy - Precision: Fiscal Stewardship/Auditability
• DLA Energy Middle East - Posture: Strengthen Agency Global Resilience
• IPAX Transformation Team, DLA Acquisition - Precision: Strengthen Digital Interoperability
• DLA Central Command and Special Operations Command Team, DLA Logistics Operations - Posture: Optimize Command and Control

"These award winners competed against many other superb nominees," Simerly said in an announcement memo. "Their efforts show true dedication to our Agency's mission to 'drive and sustain Warfighter readiness by delivering unmatched global support as the Nation's Logistics Combat Support Agency.'"
