NASDA has been awarded $2,250,000 through the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service's America First Trade Promotion Program, supporting continued efforts to expand international opportunities for U.S. agricultural products and producers.
Through this award, USDA is investing in efforts that help U.S. producers build relationships, strengthen market access and create new opportunities in the global marketplace.
NASDA's award will support state-led activities that connect technical expertise, regulatory understanding and global engagement. Programming will include inbound and outbound trade missions, collaboration with government and industry partners and targeted work to address non-tariff barriers and resolve trade challenges in priority markets.
"This award is a strong validation of the role NASDA members play in expanding global opportunities for U.S. agriculture," said NASDA CEO Ted McKinney. "We are opening doors, working through challenges and bringing practical solutions to the table. That is what helps create the conditions for long-term market access and growth for U.S. producers."
State departments of agriculture play a critical role in supporting U.S. producers as they navigate international markets. Through AFTPP, NASDA and its members work alongside USDA FAS to build relationships, improve understanding of regulatory systems and support a more competitive and resilient U.S. agriculture sector globally.
This investment reflects the continued strength of the partnership between NASDA, USDA and industry stakeholders and reinforces a coordinated approach that supports market development, addresses barriers and expands long-term opportunities for U.S. agriculture.
