City of Tulsa Winter Weather, Extreme Cold Updates Jan. 24 2026

1/24/2026

The City of Tulsa is continuing to respond to snow and extreme cold temperatures.

Streets Response

City of Tulsa street crews have been plowing and applying salt to Tulsa's main roads all night and will continue throughout the duration of the upcoming snow event. Crews are now working to plow Tulsa's main roads in groups to clear more lanes and intersections. Salt trucks are following behind the plows to allow for additional snow melt.

A special focus is being given to the traditional problem areas, such as 61st & Sheridan and Tulsa Hills. Due to lesser than expected snowfall, Downtown is not expected to be plowed to the center lanes.

Residents should remember that during winter storms, road conditions can remain hazardous regardless of treatment efforts. If you see City plows or treatment vehicles, keep your distance and never attempt to pass them while they are working.
