Company strengthens its presence in the region with a new five-story office in Mexico City and Global Delivery Center to help customers become Agentic Enterprises
Salesforce also renews focus on AI skills for students with $250,000 investment in the nonprofit Amigos de Filantrofilia
MEXICO CITY - October 8, 2025 - Salesforce, the world's #1 AI CRM, today announced plans to invest $1 billion in its Mexico operations over the next five years. This announcement reinforces Salesforce's commitment to the economic and social development of Mexico and is designed to help companies countrywide and across the broader region transform into Agentic Enterprises, where humans and AI agents work together to drive customer success.
The investment will be used to operate a new cutting-edge office, support regional customers through a Global Delivery Center (GDC), and hire top talent. In addition, it aims to grow the ecosystem by investing in workforce development and AI training.
"Salesforce's commitment to expanding its investment in Mexico highlights the strength of our economy and the exceptional talent we have," said Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy, Secretariat of Economy of Mexico. "This investment will not only create jobs and build AI skills within Mexico but will also position our country as a key consultancy hub for markets across Latin America on AI agents and more."
Mexico is an important growth market for Salesforce with a thriving customer base including leading organizations like Xcaret, Grupo Bafar, and FEMSA. It's also an innovation hub for the wider Latin America region with a strong ecosystem of nearly 1,000 partners and resellers.
"Mexico is home to some of the world's most innovative companies, and it's becoming an important hub for enterprises embracing the agentic future," said Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce. "This $1 billion investment is a commitment to Mexico as a key market for AI-powered growth - supporting the incredible talent, customers, and partners who are shaping the next generation of digital leadership across Latin America. Together, we're accelerating the rise of Agentic Enterprises, with humans and AI agents collaborating to transform industries and drive unprecedented levels of productivity, efficiency, and customer success."
Driving AI innovation from Mexico
Salesforce's commitment to the country began in 2006, when the company started operations with just a handful of employees in a small office. Since then, it has grown consistently, solidifying its position as a strategic partner for thousands of Mexican companies and public sector organizations, and serving as an innovation hub for the broader region.
Now, Salesforce has opened a new five-story office in Mexico City's Polanco district. Located in the Miyana II building, plans for the new space will be able to support up to 2,000 employees. It will serve as a hub for innovation and house one of the company's new GDCs, which will be central to Salesforce's new initiative of helping businesses transform their operations using Agentforce.
As part of Salesforce's professional services organization, the GDC will provide expert multi-lingual consulting services in English, Spanish, and Portuguese to customers across the Americas.
Leading organizations such as Globo, a media leader in Brazil, Grupo Falabella, a top retailer in Chile, and Protección, a pensions and investments manager in Colombia, already rely on Agentforce and will now have access to the GDC's services.
"Agentforce is the catalyst for transformation, helping organizations in Mexico and throughout the region become Agentic Enterprises," said Phil Sebok, Country Manager, Salesforce Mexico. "This investment sets us up to help companies augment human workforces with agents to create new opportunities, revenue streams, and ways of working."
Salesforce's commitment to giving back
Through its 1-1-1 philanthropic model, Salesforce is dedicated to supporting communities by donating time, solutions, and equity.
Salesforce is investing $250,000 in Amigos de Filantrofilia, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the capabilities of nonprofit organizations and educational institutions in Mexico. This investment aims to help 100,000 Mexican students gain AI skills, providing them with the necessary training and resources to excel in the Agentic Enterprise era.
By empowering individuals with these skills, Salesforce is not only fostering local talent but also enhancing the capacity of these organizations to make a greater impact in the communities they serve.
Salesforce also partners with the International Youth Foundation (IYF), a participant in the Salesforce Accelerator - Agents for Impact. Through this philanthropic program, which provides nonprofits with funding, pro bono expertise, and technology to scale innovative solutions, IYF is developing Clara, a Global Career Guidance agent. Delivered via WhatsApp in Spanish, Clara offers young people personalized, market-informed career recommendations. The initiative is projected to expand IYF's annual youth reach by 35% and increase skills achievement by 20%.
To date, Salesforce has donated a total of $2.6 million to organizations in Mexico, and its employees have dedicated nearly 40,000 volunteer hours to local causes. Long-standing nonprofit partners include Mentoralia, Reforestamos México and Yolia.
