HACU’s 15th International Conference International Plenary Session III focused on international collaboration for cyber readiness and the workforce

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced the speakers for International Plenary Session III at HACU's 15th International Conference taking place May 4-6, 2026, at the Kimpton Santo San Antonio - Riverwalk, in San Antonio, Texas.

The International Plenary Session III, "Global Cooperation for Cyber Readiness and Workforce Resilience," Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 12:15-1:30 p.m. CT, examines how international collaboration strengthens cyber readiness and prepares a globally competitive workforce. This panel focuses on cross-border partnerships protecting critical digital systems, responses to emerging cybersecurity threats, and align education and workforce pipelines with global labor needs. Panelists highlight how these efforts translate into local impact by expanding career pathways, building institutional capacity, and advancing economic mobility.

The plenary will be moderated by Armen Babajanian, president and CEO of World Affairs Council of San Antonio and will feature the following speakers Cynthia Olivo, president, Fullerton College; Shahrzad (Sherry) Dowlatshahi, chief diplomacy & protocol officer head of Global Engagement, City of San Antonio; and Tommy Calvert, Bexar County Commissioner Pct. 4.

HACU's 15th International Conference will feature 25 workshops, plenary sessions and panel sessions. A Student Track, offered in conjunction with the conference, will include panel discussions and informative workshops related to study abroad and other international education programs.
