What to Do If You Notice a Leak

Water leaks can waste thousands of gallons and lead to costly damage, but most are preventable when caught early. Whether it's a dripping faucet at home or water pooling in the street, knowing what to do can save time, money, and resources. Here's what to watch for:

At Home

If you suspect a leak on your property, a licensed plumber can help locate and repair it. Once the leak is repaired, you may be eligible for a leak adjustment.

In the Neighborhood

  • Street or sidewalk puddles, especially during dry weather, can mean a main break or service line leak.
  • Water gushing or bubbling from the ground should be reported immediately.

If you think a leak is coming from a water main or hydrant, call us any time at 925-688-8000 or report a leak via our contact form.

Even small leaks waste big water, so stay alert, save water, and help protect your home and community.
