Emergency Overnight Shelters Extend Morning Hours Due to Forecasted Cold Weather

Due to forecasted cold weather, many of the City of Portland's emergency overnight shelters will extend morning operations by several hours until 8AM PDT starting Friday, January 23 through Sunday, January 25.

Portland, Ore. - The City of Portland announced that many of their emergency overnight shelters will extend morning operations by several hours until 8AM PDT starting Friday, January 23 through Sunday, January 25.

Cold weather has been forecasted for the Portland Metro area by the National Weather Service that will put temperatures below freezing into the early morning hours. To assist with participant needs, Portland Solutions has worked with shelter providing partners to extend morning hours of operations.
