Resurfacing Work Scheduled in Randolph and Macon Counties

HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, as early as May 4, resurfacing work is scheduled on various routes in Randolph and Macon counties. Work will begin on Business U.S. 63 in Randolph County, from Carpenter Street to Route A in Moberly. Once complete, work will move to the following routes in Macon County:

  • Route YY, from U.S. Route 63 to the end of state maintenance, near Cox
  • Route D, from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 156 in La Plata

Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction in place at the location where crews are actively working. Flaggers and a pilot car will be utilized to direct motorists through the work zone. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists, as schedule changes occur. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.

Recently, Magruder Paving, LLC of Troy, Missouri, was awarded a $448,607 contract for resurfacing work in Randolph County, along with a second contract for $770,491 for resurfacing work in Macon County. All work is anticipated to be completed by mid-Spring.
