The next regular Yuma City Council meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
Here are some of the items scheduled to be presented to City Council for consideration:
Youth Government Program Presentation
Participants in the City's Youth Government Program are scheduled to present their final group projects to Council during the July 14 City Council work session. The presentations will highlight ideas developed by the students during the six-week program, where they explored City operations, identified local community issues and worked together on projects intended to make a positive impact in the community.
Bid Award: Fire Hydrants and Accessories
Following a competitive bid process, a bid award for fire hydrants and accessories will be presented for Council consideration. The purchase would help maintain a reliable supply of hydrants and related components used for fire suppression, emergency response, and the City's water distribution system.
IGA with Yuma Union High School District No. 70
An intergovernmental agreement with Yuma Union High School District No. 70 will be presented to Council for authorization. The agreement would continue School Resource Officer services on District campuses, supporting campus safety, classroom instruction, student mentoring, and coordination between the district and the Yuma Police Department.
