Join us in Orlando, FL at this year's ISTE event as we answer the question we hear most often: "What's new at Kahoot!?"
We love hearing this question, because at Kahoot!, we're constantly innovating! With over 10 million teachers and school leaders worldwide using Kahoot! to elevate learning from K-12 to higher ed, we're passionate about our research on how Kahoot! improves learning outcomes. This drives us to continuously grow and improve our platform, so educators can make learning even more engaging for their students. At ISTE, you can discover all these new offerings and experience them in action!
Screen-free learning with Kahoot!
-
No student device mode (Coming soon) - With this feature, students can participate in a kahoot session in the classroom without personal devices. Instead, they can use alternative interaction methods such as physical response cards, team-based play, classroom movement, or teacher-facilitated voting. This enables every classroom to experience collaborative and inclusive learning with Kahoot!, even when devices are limited or screen time is restricted.
AI features
-
New AI formats - Kahoot!'s award-winning AI Generator makes it easy to create interactive and engaging learning content from scanned notes, documents, slides, websites, articles, PDFs and topics. Now, educators can build their unit activities in seconds with Kahoot!'s AI formats. In addition to classic Kahoot! quizzes, try creating micro lessons, exit tickets, practice tests, presentations, advanced questions, and practice tests. You can also use the AI generator to turn paper-based instructional materials into engaging Kahoot! questions.
Instructional experiences
-
Confidence experience - Make learning more inclusive by exploring the multiple ways to play and learn on Kahoot!, including different question types, game experiences, and presentation experiences. In addition to Accuracy experience and Lecture experience, we also recently introduced Confidence experience, which lets students indicate their certainty when answering a question during a kahoot. This transforms information recall into valuable judgment practice, encouraging students to practice critical decision-making and spot their knowledge gaps and misconceptions in a low stakes way.
Supplemental math resources
-
Kahoot! math games - Whether students are learning in class, at home, or on the go, Kahoot!'s math games help students strengthen their math skills at their own pace, all while having a blast playing! Now, students can level up their STEM knowledge with Kahoot! Coding, a game designed to teach coding skills and logical thinking. Looking for even more awesome math resources? Get ready for Math Missions, coming soon! This new experience will include unlimited curriculum-aligned math questions for K-5, self-driven learning paths with skill-based progression, and more to help students build math confidence.
Language learning
-
Kahoot! Language Learning - Support students learning a new language by playing with words! Choose from over 50 languages, and build essential vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation skills through game-based lessons at students' own pace. Great for students learning a new language or dual immersion language programs.
U.S. curriculum standards
-
Standards-alignment - Creating and discovering standards-aligned learning content on Kahoot! is now easier than ever with Kahoot! EDU's new standards-alignment tool. U.S. educators can tag kahoots with national curriculum standards (CCSS, NGSS and the ISTE Standards for Students) and state standards for all 50 U.S. States. Track students' progress by skill and benchmark performance in real time! Educators can also search for publicly available kahoots by standards on the platform, making it easy to find engaging learning activities that fit their needs.
Launch a kahoot from your Clever Portal
-
Sign in with Clever to host a kahoot - Schools can now connect the Kahoot! app to their Clever Portal. This enables teachers to seamlessly SSO via Clever and launch a kahoot directly from their Clever Portal. When teachers host a kahoot through the Clever Portal, students automatically enter the session without needing to enter a game PIN, streamlining the Kahoot! experience and saving valuable classroom time.
Kahootopia!
-
Assignments - Want to maximize students' motivation for asynchronous work? Take a trip to the class island! With Kahootopia! Assignments, educators can turn asynchronous work from a box to check to an activity that sparks joy, teamwork, and belonging. As students complete a Kahootopia! Assignment, they earn achievements for their class island, growing the island together as they learn. For even more fun on Kahootopia!, join or create leagues to compete with other classes, and watch out for special island events each season with unique achievements to collect!
