National Real Estate Advisors Promotes Ben Kanne to Managing Director, Investments

National Real Estate Advisors ("National"), an investment manager developing, operating, and managing commercial real estate and infrastructure projects across the United States, today announced the promotion of Ben Kanne to Managing Director, Investments.

In this leadership role, Ben will help shape and execute the firm's investment strategy and lead the sourcing, screening, underwriting, structuring, and closing of new investment opportunities across National's platform. He will also oversee the firm's investment team.

Ben will continue to lead the development and presentation of investment recommendations to the Investment Committee. Working closely with Portfolio Management and senior leadership, he will help guide material investment decisions and ensure the firm's investment activity remains disciplined and aligned with client objectives.

Since joining National in 2020, Ben has played a significant role in advancing the firm's investment objectives, most notably in the data center and medical office sectors. He was instrumental in the launch of the National Data Center Fund in 2021 and the growth of its partnership with Sabey Data Center Properties into one of the firm's largest platforms, including the recent investment by Ares Secondaries, and helped build National's medical office investment program. He has earned a reputation for rigorous analysis, disciplined execution, and a strong commitment to delivering results for clients and stakeholders.

Prior to joining National, Ben was an Investment Banking Vice President in the Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging Group at BofA Merrill Lynch in New York, advising public and private real estate companies on strategic transactions and capital markets initiatives. His experience spans acquisitions, debt and equity investing, portfolio strategy, and transaction execution. He holds an MBA in Corporate Finance and Real Estate from the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English from Elon University.
