The Cass Human Service Zone Family Services Team has been recognized with the Fearless Roughrider Team Award by North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) during the 2026 Behavioral Health & Children and Family Services Conference.
The Fearless Roughrider Team Award honors teams that demonstrate courage, innovation, adaptability and a commitment to finding new ways to serve North Dakotans.
The Cass Human Service Zone Family Services Team was recognized for its resilience through significant staffing and leadership challenges while remaining focused on improving services for children and families. The team developed an evening shift to better meet families' needs, strengthened community partnerships and continued to improve child welfare practices.
"I could not be prouder of our Family Services Team. Their courage, adaptability and compassion are reflected every day in how they serve children and families, support one another and collaborate with community partners," said Cass Human Service Zone Director Gail Bollinger. "This recognition truly belongs to the entire team and reflects their unwavering commitment to doing what is right for those we serve."
