Taft Chicago partners Terese Connolly and Lauren Rankins have been selected to Crain's Chicago Business' Notable Women in Law 2026 list. Honorees are those who hold a leadership role in professional organizations and civic service initiatives, show significant impact in their role and/or practice area, serve as role models or mentors to other women in the legal industry, and work to advance inclusive practices in the workplace.

Connolly is a partner in Taft's Employment and Labor Relations practice group. She advises and counsels multinational companies; conducts enterprise risk assessments, compliance audits, and internal investigations; and provides day-to-day counsel on domestic and cross-border employment laws, including leaves, wage and hour, anti-discrimination and harassment, and the employment portions of mergers and acquisitions.
Rankins represents various entities involved in private and public construction projects, including owners, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, through all aspects of construction law, including contract review and negotiation, project management, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation. She is a frequent writer and speaker on construction-related topics and is active in many construction-related organizations.
