ILO Nepal Director Numan Özcan raises the red card against child labourThis year's theme, "Red Card to Child Labour: Fair play for children, decent work for adults," is a powerful reminder that every child deserves the right to learn, to play, and to grow up safe and protected.Yet today, 138 million children worldwide are still in child labour. Behind every number is a child whose education, health, safety, and future are at risk.
In football, fair play means respecting the rules of the game. In society, fair play means protecting children from child labour, ensuring quality education, strengthening social protection, and promoting decent work for adults so that families do not have to rely on children's work.
In this video, Numan Özcan, Director of ILO Nepal, joins the global call to show the red card to child labour.
Let us act together for fair play for children and decent work for adults.
