Read below to learn more about initiatives my administration is working on, resources for Stamford residents, information about upcoming events, and important city and state information.

MAYOR'S UPDATES

  • Bond Sale: This past week, we earned a bond premium of $4.8 million upon issuance of $75 million in General Obligation Bonds, which is a direct result of bond holders' confidence in our city's fiscal management. These resources will be deposited into the city's capital reserve fund and used to pay for critical capital needs for our city while saving taxpayers millions of dollars. Thank you to our Office of Administration team for their work and commitment to ensuring our city's financial health.
  • Scalzi Park Tennis and Pickleball Courts: We celebrated the re-opening of the 10 newly renovated tennis courts at Scalzi Park this week! This project, which also includes six new pickleball courts, was funded with a $200,000 grant from the US Tennis Association of New England. Additional upgrades include blended court lines, new fencing, and LED lighting, ensuring these courts are modern, accessible, and welcoming spaces for residents of all ages to enjoy!
  • Vision Zero: A core priority of my administration is to eliminate roadway fatalities by 2032. This week, I was proud to highlight the Vision Zero Program and how we are redesigning streets to create a safer, more connected community.
