Body of Missing Tempe Man Michael Bayne Located in Mesadetail

Tempe, AZ - The Tempe Police Department is saddened to share that 32-year-old Michael Bayne, who was reported missing earlier this month, has been found dead.

Bayne was last seen on the morning of February 16, 2026, after leaving his Tempe condo. His family reported him missing the next day, saying he had Type 1 diabetes.

His disappearance prompted an extensive search effort by Tempe Police detectives, along with significant support and outreach from the community.

On February 20, 2026, Tempe detectives located the body of Michael Bayne in Mesa.

The Mesa Police Department responded to the scene, and the death investigation has been turned over to their agency.

Our thoughts are with Michael's family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
