Ermal Nufi meets U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, Albania-U.S. strategic partnership highlighted

The Defence Minister, Ermal Nufi, received in his office the United States Ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker.

During the meeting, both sides underlined the importance of the strategic partnership between Albania and the United States of America.

Discussions focused on the security situation in the region and the need for close coordination among Allies to address current challenges. Defence Minister Nufi expressed his appreciation for the continued support of the United States to the Albanian Armed Forces, particularly in the areas of training, military education, and the enhancement of defence capabilities.

Defence Minister Nufi also conveyed his gratitude to Ambassador Whitaker for the steadfast support provided by the United States in strengthening the strategic partnership with Albania and contributing to regional security.

In conclusion, he emphasised that relations between Albania and the United States remain strong, built on shared values and mutual trust.
