Trump's Border Czar Tom Homan caught ON VIDEO accepting $50,000 from undercover FBI agents in exchange for government contracts
This weekend, new reporting revealed that Donald Trump's Justice Department dropped a criminal investigation into his Border Czar Tom Homan, who was recorded accepting $50,000 from undercover FBI agents seeking government contracts. Rather than allow investigators to independently conduct their investigation, Trump's handpicked DOJ and FBI lackeys dropped the case into Homan, despite officials claiming that additional evidence could be gathered. Once again, Trump and his cronies are abusing their power for their own benefit.
In response, DNC Rapid Response Director Kendall Witmer released the following statement:
"Donald Trump promised to 'drain the swamp,' but is instead using his Justice Department to stop credible investigations into his closest allies. This is exactly the kind of pay-to-play politics that Americans are sick and tired of. He and his allies think they are above the law and are using their power for their own gain, rather than following through on promises to help the American people. It's corruption, plain and simple."
Here are the receipts:
In 2024, Homan, former acting ICE Director, who would become Trump's Border Czar in 2025, was recorded ON VIDEO accepting $50,000 from undercover FBI agents posing as business owners in exchange for government contracts. Homan's encounter with agents prompted an investigation into potential bribery and other crimes. Once Trump took office, former acting Deputy Attorney General and Trump's former personal attorney Emil Bove did not support the case against Homan, despite officials arguing that additional evidence could be gathered.
