I-5 to Northbound SR-163 Connectors Closed Evenings of November 16 - 20

San Diego - Caltrans crews will close the northbound and southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) connectors to northbound State Route 163 (SR-163) in the evenings of Sunday, November 16, to Thursday, November 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for broadband installation work.

Northbound I-5 motorists hoping to get on the northbound SR-163 can take the off-ramp at Sixth Avenue, turn left onto Sixth Avenue, turn left again onto A Street, then merge onto the northbound SR-163.

Southbound I-5 motorists hoping to get on the northbound SR-163 can take the off-ramp at B Street, turn left onto B Street, and turn left again onto Eleventh Street to continue on the northbound SR-163 on-ramp.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
