Various Closures On Interstate 5 & State Route 99

Stanislaus County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 and State Route 99 (SR-99) for maintenance and construction work within Stanislaus County. Work will occur as follows:

Interstate 5

• Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
  Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.

State Route 99

• Daytime shoulder closures from Keyes Road to SR-219/Broadway Avenue for shoulder and electrical work beginning Tuesday, January 20, through Friday, January 23, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
