Willkie Represents Unsecured Creditors' Committee in Confirmation of Bitcoin Depot's Chapter 11 Plan

Willkie represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 case of Bitcoin Depot Inc., pending in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. On August 10, 2026, Judge Christopher Lopez confirmed Bitcoin Depot's chapter 11 liquidation plan, which includes settlements with the Committee and senior secured lender Silverview, establishes a liquidation trust to distribute remaining value to creditors and preserves causes of action for the benefit of creditors.
The Committee supported confirmation of the plan, which all voting classes accepted, and stated that the plan provides unsecured creditors with a strong outcome under difficult circumstances. In advance of confirmation, the Committee conducted an independent investigation into prepetition transactions and worked with the debtors' investigation subcommittee to narrow the scope of releases, thereby preserving potentially valuable claims against company insiders. The Committee also brokered a settlement with Debtors' secured lender, Silverview, that provided additional cash needed to support confirmation of the plan.
