WNC Recognizes One of Its Largest Dean's Lists Ever

Academic excellence continued to shine at Western Nevada College during the Spring 2026 semester as 539 students earned placement on the Dean's List, recognizing their outstanding classroom achievements and dedication to their educational goals.

The impressive total ranks among the highest in recent college history, trailing only the record-setting 572 students who earned Dean's List honors during the previous semester. The Spring 2026 figure also represents a significant increase from Spring 2025, with nearly 100 more students achieving the distinction this year.

The honored students represent communities across the region, including 30 cities and towns throughout Nevada and three communities in California, reflecting the broad reach and impact of Western Nevada College's academic programs.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must complete a minimum of 12 credits during the semester while earning a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher.

Western Nevada College President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe praised the students for their commitment to academic excellence and perseverance.

"Earning a place on the Dean's List is a significant accomplishment that reflects dedication, discipline and a commitment to personal growth," President Dalpe said. "These 539 students have demonstrated what is possible through hard work and determination, and we are incredibly proud of their achievements. Their success not only strengthens our college community but also contributes to the future vitality of the communities they represent."

The continued growth in Dean's List recognition underscores the strong academic performance of WNC students and the college's commitment to supporting student success through accessible, high-quality educational opportunities.

"These students have balanced coursework with jobs, family responsibilities and other commitments while maintaining exceptional academic standards," President Dalpe added. "Their accomplishments serve as an inspiration to their peers. Congratulations to all of our students who achieved this prestigious honor!"
