Ministry of Defence Holds Religious Programmes to Mark Poson Festival

In line with the Poson festival, the Ministry of Defence organized a series of religious programmes throughout the week at the Ministry premises, providing an opportunity for Ministry personnel to engage in religious observances and reflect on the values associated with Poson.

The week-long programme commenced on 26 June with a Pirith chanting ceremony held at the Ministry premises under the guidance of Ven. Gemunupura Rewatha Thero of Thripitaka Dharmayathanaya, with the participation of senior officials and Ministry staff.

The programme also included a Dana ceremony and several Dansels organized with the participation of Ministry staff.

Through these religious and welfare activities, the Ministry created an opportunity for personnel to foster spiritual reflection and strengthen the values of compassion, generosity and unity associated with the Poson season.
