Norton Rose Fulbright in the UK has placed eighth in the Top 75 of employers for social mobility in the 2025 Social Mobility Employer Index, created by the Social Mobility Foundation.
Established in 2005, the Social Mobility Foundation has been breaking down barriers through its Aspiring Professional Programme, which welcomes thousands of young people year on year as well as influencing employers to create more diverse workplaces through its Social Mobility Employer Index.
Norton Rose Fulbright has been named in the Top 75 of the Social Mobility Employer Index for the third year and this is the second year it has placed eighth.
Peter Scott, Global Managing Partner and Managing Partner, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific, at Norton Rose Fulbright commented:
"We are incredibly proud of this recognition. It is a testament to our ongoing commitment to foster a more inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background. Through initiatives such as our mentoring schemes and outreach programmes, we strive to open doors for individuals from all walks of life and ensure that social mobility is always considered as we advance our firm's culture."
Christine John, Interim Head of Responsible Business and Wellbeing at Norton Rose Fulbright commented:
"Retaining our position as a Top 10 employer for social mobility reflects the hard work and dedication shown by our colleagues across the firm and the critical partnerships we have with our charitable partners in this space. It highlights the effectiveness of our ongoing programmes and initiatives, which are designed to broaden pathways into the legal sector for those from lower socio-economic backgrounds. We are strongly motivated to continue building a diverse workplace where everyone can thrive and feel valued."
Separately, in October 2025, Norton Rose Fulbright was 'highly commended' and awarded a Gold Award at the UK Social Mobility Awards 2025 for Pre Recruitment Programme of the Year.
